It came in two equal parts. Beniamino Bufano was widely recognized for his skilled craftsmanship and unique designs in sculpture. He worked on a grand scale, creating pieces that had mass and stature always with smooth edges and slick surfaces. Bufano was born in San-Fele, Italy in 1898, but moved to New York City with his family when he was still very young.

Beniamino Bufano was round dead in his San Francisco studio in mid August, 1970.
